    AECOM is looking for a dynamic Business Development Specialist for the Seattle, WA location to support the Transportation Business Line .

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving Business Development (BD) activities and sales, implementing communication, events and strategic growth initiatives and helping lead large pursuits.

    The job includes a client and market facing role that identifies growth markets and opportunities while being in contact directly with key clients.

    This opportunity is best suited for a person with a natural drive and interest in sales, someone who experienced speaking with clients and building relationships, a team player who has a proven track record in growing accounts by selling professional services and has the ability to coordinate internal strategy sessions for key Transportation accounts.

    Responsibilities

    • Work with the PNW Leadership team to manage and grow the Transportation within the market.
    • Coordinate with internal business lines (Environmental, Energy, Water and PPM) to identify growth markets to drive multi-service opportunities.
    • Implement strategic growth initiatives.
    • Coordinate meetings with key clients to understand their changing needs and priorities and present information on AECOM professional services.
    • Support and lead strategic pursuits/proposals – develop the winning strategy, respond to RFPs including cost proposal development.
    • Lead strategic teaming discussions with other consultants or service providers for major pursuits.
    • Verify that opportunity information is up to date in the SalesForce platform.
    • Support events and help coordinate external civic events taking place in the PNW.
    • Coordinate internal meetings and workshops for major client accounts.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • BA/BS + 4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Relevant experience in similar role for 6 years.
    • Proven record of success in growing client accounts.
    • Understanding of PNW major transportation market including Sound Transit, WSDOT and Port of Seattle.
    • Good communicator and able to build and maintain relationships.
    • Degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
    • Master in Business Administration
    • Ability to quickly grasp and understand market and industry issues and trends.

    • Offered rate of compensation (Seattle, Washington) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $85,000-$129,000.
    • Due to related requirement, U.S. work sponsorship is not offered for this opportunity.
