    Job Description SummaryThis position will develop and improve software tool capability for turbomachinery hardware aeromechanics analysis.

    Roles and ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:
    Interface with global ADT developers to add software tool capability for Aeromechanics analysis.
    Present modeling and validation results to relevant Aeromechanics design boards, leadership and technical experts.
    Update Aeromechanics tools stakeholders with the status and progress of tool development initiatives, milestones and roadmaps. Ability to work effectively with a matrixed leadership and global technical team.
    Required QualificationsBachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university with a focus in aeromechanics.
    A working background in Aeromechanics modeling, preferably in turbomachineryA knowledge of Finite Element ModelingDemonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder.
    Desired QualificationMaster's degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university with a focus in aeromechanics.
    Strong oral and written communication skills.

    Experience with conducting Finite Elements analyses (FEA), particularly using ANSYS, ANSYS workbench and ANSYS APDL for modal, stress, and transient dynamic analyses.10+ years of experience with the development of Fortran codes.

    Knowledge of C++ is a plus.
    Familiarity with scripted languages such as Matlab and Python.
    Knowledge of turbomachinery blading design, analysis methods and toolsBackground in aeromechanics component test methods (e.g. laser vibrometry), engine test methods (strain gauge & light probes), instrumentation placement and data post-processing, damping characterization.
    Knowledge of CFD (including unsteady CFD), lifing analysis and rotordynamics.
    This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
