    Job Description

    This position will be responsible for inventory management, planning, and coordinating transportation for the availability of raw materials, component parts, and finished goods to ensure that all materials are available to meet both the production plan and customer delivery requirements. This position will report to the Procurement Assistant Manager.

    Responsibilities
    • Responsible for moving raw, in-process materials to and from the warehouse/receiving areas and production floor
    • Responsible for short-term storage of finished products and shipment to an external warehouse
    • Perform routine data input related to inbound and outbound shipments and other relevant data into the proper software system
    • Create all required shipping documentation, including bill of lading and others
    • Manage inventory by planning the availability of raw materials, component parts, and finished goods
    • Maintain QAD Master Data for components and finished goods
    • Provide production with schedules and support through proper supplier releases and forecasts
    • Maintain positive customer relationships through customer order management and appropriate monitoring of the supply base
    • Work closely with Procurement Assistant Manager, Production, and external warehouse to coordinate all outbound shipments including finished products.
    • Ensures that freight is delivered and serves as a point of contact for all delivery issues
    • Works with international suppliers/freight forwarders through the review/creation of commercial invoices, freight terms, etc. to ensure customs compliance, including documents that are required from each supplier when sending material to the US facility
    • Assists the Manager to maintain logistics reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
    • Maintains proper guidelines for document storage per US Customs record retention policies
    • Responds to all inquiries for transit times and cost quotes
    • Coordinates with external warehouse logistics, and helps manage internal capacity and the transfer of finished products to off-site location
    • Manages returns process for Greenwood site finished materials delivered to the customer
    • Other duties as required
    Qualifications
    • 3-5 years of Logistics experience in the Manufacturing Industry (global logistics experience preferred)
    • Internal/External Auditing experience preferred
    • Forklift driver's certification (current)
    • CDL Preferred
    • Heavy Yard/Switch/Jockey Truck experience preferred
    • Must hold a valid Driver's License and be willing and able to participate in Yard/Switch/Jockey Truck training.
    • Experience with an ERP system
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Experience working with an international, culturally diverse team is preferred
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, superior organizational abilities, excellent precision and leadership ability
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines
    • Ability to pass pre-hire drug screening & criminal background check
    • Fluent in English
    • Excellent organization skills
    • Proven ability to identify and implement continuous improvement areas and remain open-minded and engaged on the floor to identify improvement areas.
    • Desire to grow in position and take on challenging projects.
    • Able to work 7:30 am to 4 pm and additional hours as required.
