    Job Description

    Start out in a career. This job is for installing commercial laundry equipment. Commercial laundry equipment is refrigerator-sized washers and dryers used in hotels and laundromats. This job is for someone to take equipment out into the field, place it, bolt it down, and hook it up to washer lines, electrical, gas lines, and drains. You will be working along side other technicians most of the time. You will learn electrical troubleshooting, light plumbing, customer communication, and power tools.

    Hours

    The work takes place Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 5 PM. Some overtime.

    Responsibilities

    • Receive laundry equipment from trucks using fork lift.
    • Load delivery truck with laundry equipment.
    • Deliver equipment to site. Troubleshoot logistics of moving new equipment into building. Remove old equipment.
    • Install, rigging, bolting down, and hooking up washers and dryers.
    • Troubleshoot wiring, piping, and programming of washers and dryers.
    • Learn to repair and troubleshoot washers and dryers.


    Qualifications

    • Mechanically minded
    • Safe
    • Independent
    • Good driving record


    Skills

    • Familiarity with motors a plus
    • General plumbing know-how
    • Can change settings on computer programs
    • Can read a voltmeter a plus
    • Understand relays, switches, and valves a plus


    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Must be able to climb, crawl, and raise objects overhead.
