    Responsibilities

    We're currently seeking highly motivated and energetic students to join our team as a 2024 Summer Intern at our Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) group; a business unit within Howmet Aerospace, a leading global provider of advanced engineered solutions for the aerospace and transportation industries. The Company's primary businesses focus on jet engine components, aerospace fastening systems and titanium structural parts necessary for mission-critical performance and efficiency in aerospace and defense applications, as well as forged wheels for commercial transportation. Howmet Aerospace is transforming the next phase of more fuel-efficient, quieter aerospace engines and sustainable ground transportation.

    An internship with HFS allows students to be a part of dynamic and innovative projects, while providing ample mentoring and professional development opportunities. Working alongside leadership, HFS interns have the opportunity to learn through hands-on experience. An internship with HFS will provide you with invaluable experience that you could utilize in any role, and it is Howmet's goal to evaluate its interns for potential entry-level openings.

    Internship opportunities will be at one of our facilities located across Southern California: Carson, Torrance, Fullerton, or City of Industry. We also have an opportunity in Pittsburgh, PA.

    We are looking for interns in the following areas:

    • Engineers: Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Electronic, Controls and Aerospace Engineering.
    • Material Science
    • Environmental, Health and Safety
    • Finance
    • Procurement
    • Human Resources

    Qualifications

    • 3.0 GPA and above
    • Must be involved in at least 1 extracurricular activity.
    • Prior work experience.
    • Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program with an expected graduation date of Fall 2024 or Spring 2025.
    • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
    • Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
    • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
    • This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items
