ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Rotating, 40 hour work week. Monday through Sunday. Will work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

Work in the Central Records Department of the Corpus Christi Police Department.

Daily tasks include coordinate with several divisions of the Police Department to gather requested information for release of information to other Law Enforcement agencies as well as Local, State and Federal agencies.

Communicate with civilian personnel, sworn personnel, investigators, work closely with Open Record Staff and supervisors to review and prioritize requests.

Ensures reports are eligible for release to the requesting agencies. Ensure that all requesters fall under the agency to agency release of documents. Communicate with Law Enforcement agencies and the City Attorney in regards to requests of information. Maintain a log of all requests for statistics as well as for retention guidelines. Purge files when retention guidelines have been met. Other duties include reviewing police reports. Coordinate and conduct staff training for back up support. Be crossed trained in other areas within the Central Records department . Maintain a professional relationship with multiple local agencies. May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requires knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical office processes.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED and one (1) year of direct related experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Six (6) months of Customer Service work experience preferred. A valid driver's license is required at time of application and hire.

Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire.

Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, copier, fax machine.

Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.

Selected applicants must be able to pass a background investigation and a pre-employment drug test.

Any position that lists a minimum qualification for education level and/or license/certification will require the applicant to provide proof of documentation if selected for hire into the position with the City of Corpus Christi.

This position is classified as Safety Sensitive.

All employees in safety sensitive positions are subject to random drug testing, pursuant to City policy, HR 15.0 Alcohol and Drug Abuse.
