SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking a full-time SeniorAnalyst, Profitability to join our fast-growing team. SageSure is seeking skilled individuals to join the team and play a pivotal role in collaborating with our CEO to develop and maintain sophisticated financial/profitability models that support our business strategy and drive growth, while minimizing risk. In this role, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in model creation and provide insights into our business operations. Working closely with our senior leadership, you will contribute directly to shaping our strategic direction, making meaningful contributions to our ongoing success.

    What you'd be doing:

  • Develop and maintain robust profitability models in Excel to analyze and forecast financial performance.
  • Analyze data and trends to identify potential risks to profitability factors.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure alignment and accurate, up-to-date, assumptions for the models.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on profitability analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Continuously drive model improvements, incorporating feedback from senior leadership.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports to communicate profitability findings to senior leaders.
  • Create analysis and reporting for investor and board audiences.
  • Maintain documentation of profitability model creation, assumptions, methodologies, and standard operating processes for reference purposes.
  • We're looking for someone who has:

  • Desire to help drive transformation in the insurance industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and hungry to learn.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently, as a team member, and own challenging tasks.
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience with complex data sets.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • Highly preferred candidates also have:

  • 1-4 years of prior experience in a finance role or in the insurance industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Understanding of financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
