    We are currently accepting applications for a Concierge position until filled.

    Job Summary
    To provide exceptional support to all customers entering the Concierge office/desks and represent ORU Concierge well to external and internal customers.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain a manned Concierge Office Desk at all times.
    • Greet and welcome all persons entering the Concierge office/desks, answer phones, and transfer calls appropriately.
    • Offer outstanding customer service to students, parents, and other patrons at all times, demonstrating excellent work attitude and demeanor.
    • Manage front desk communications, answer patron questions, and perform gatekeeper duties to direct customers to the correct Concierge staff person or other ORU offices as needed.
    • Plan and execute Concierge Hospitality events and promotions, create marketing materials, and ensure approval from supervisors.
    • Maintain Residence Halls desk books and assemble daily logs.
    • Schedule student workers as needed and ensure they follow Concierge procedures and protocol.
    • Maintain pristine condition of the front office and work areas.
    • Occasionally work at other Concierge desks, The Pantry, or after-hours for various events.
    • Perform other duties assigned by the Executive Director/Director.

    Requirements
    • Education: High School diploma or GED with some college coursework.
    • Experience/Skills:
      • Previous clerical experience with an understanding of proper office protocol.
      • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills.
      • Personable and able to meet, greet, and welcome customers with a cheerful attitude.
      • Candidate must enjoy interacting with people and presenting well to the public.
      • Knowledgeable about university information and detail-oriented.
      • Ability to make decisions and act effectively in stressful situations.
      • Basic computer knowledge, experience in Microsoft Word and Excel, and willingness to learn other programs as necessary.
