    Responsibilities:
    Peraton requires Configuration Management Specialists to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3.

    Positions are located at the SOCOM Headquarters at MacDill, AFB FL, and at the TSOC and Component locations in the United States and abroad.

    The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract(SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provideUSSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs),and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain NetworkOperations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user andcommon device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conducttraining, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services.

    The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.Under the supervision of the Configuration Manager (CM), the Configuration Management Specialists must be detail-oriented and have in-depth knowledge in establishing and maintaining the consistency of information regarding the design requirements, functional and physical attributes, and operational information of enterprise configuration items (CIs).

    The CM specialist Must possess excellent interpersonal, business management, and customer service skills.

    The CM specialist follows an IT service-based approach to manage, monitor, and update CM data in the CM Database (CMDB) and the CM Document Library (CMDL), including a logical service model of enterprise devices and their relationships by identifying, controlling, maintaining, and verifying installed hardware, software, and documentation.

    The Specialist verifies configuration records for accuracy and adherence to guidelines and defined service standards and corrects any exceptions as directed by the Government.


    Duties include but are not limited to:

    Proposing improvements to the CM Plan and deliver them to the Configuration Manager no more than 90 calendar days after TOA.Maintaining current build documentation for eachUpdating service/configuration item build documentation no less than every 60 calendar days, or as directed by the Government.

    Entering, uploading and maintaining configuration data into theCreating, maintaining, and updating logical serviceMaintaining CM records for directed configurationRecommending additional attributes for service/standard driftCreating and maintaining service and inter-service configuration itemEstablishing and maintaining process interfaces to Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and Asset Management processes.

    Recommending and execute appropriate authorization controls for modifying configurationRecommending and execute procedures for verifying the accuracy of configuration items, adherence to the CM process, and identifying process deficiencies.

    Providing CM Reports that are in compliance with USSOCOM policies, procedures, regulations, and directives.

    Recommending updates and changes to CMCreating, deploying, and maintaining infrastructure as code process for onboarding and offboarding applications within the multi-cloud environment.

    Documenting and reviewing CM findings and then coordinating corrective actionMonitoring standards compliance, as well as change and release implementationEvaluating baseline deviations and making recommendations for rectifying themEstablishing and implementing CM compliance standardsEvaluating contracts and developing associated configuration management approachesReviewing and implementing CM plans, baselines, and milestonesDeveloping and implementing overarching CM procedures and establishing responsibilities, authorities, and plan approval levelsCoordinating the release of Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and EngineeringChange Notifications (ECNs)

    Tracking Supplier Requests for Engineering Approval (SREAs), Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs), End of Life (EOL), CM Data Warehousing (DW), and Requests for Variation (RFVs) by configurationConducting Technical Review Board (TRB) and Change Review Board (CRB) meetingsSome positions may require shift work and/or an ability to work a non-standard work schedule to support the USSOCOM missionLocation:
    Fort Liberty, NCQualifications:Required qualifications:2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with no degree. Significant relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.

    ITIL Foundations certification is requiredAt least three years of experience as a Configuration Manager in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

    Target Salary Range:
