    Position Overview:


    Our client, a well-established and market-leading structural and miscellaneous steel contractor, is seeking an accomplished and dynamic professional to assume the role of Vice President of fabrication.

    The successful candidate will be instrumental in leading the fabrication and purchasing departments, driving operational efficiency, ensuring top-notch quality, and contributing to the overall success and growth of our organization.


    Key Responsibilities:

    Leadership and Strategy:

    • Provide strategic leadership to the fabrication and purchasing departments, aligning objectives with the company's overall vision.
    • Develop and implement best practices for fabrication processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety.
    • Collaborate with senior management to establish and achieve operational and financial goals.
    • Maintain and oversee AISC compliance.

    Fabrication Management:

    • Oversee the entire fabrication process, from raw material acquisition to final product delivery.
    • Manage a team of skilled master mechanics, welders, and other production personnel.
    • Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of craftsmanship.

    Project Execution:

    • Collaborate with project management, field operations, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
    • Monitor project delivery schedules, budgets, and manpower to meet or exceed client expectations.
    • Implement efficient workflows and optimize processes to enhance project delivery.

    Safety and Compliance:

    • Enforce and promote a strong safety culture throughout the fabrication department.
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, codes, and standards.
    • Implement and monitor safety training programs for fabrication personnel.

    Resource Optimization:

    • Manage fabrication facility resources, including equipment, personnel, and materials.
    • Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to optimize the supply chain and inventory management.
    • Implement cost-effective measures to enhance overall operational efficiency.

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
    Proven experience in a leadership role within the steel fabrication industry.
    In-depth knowledge of fabrication processes, welding techniques, and materials.
    Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    Familiarity with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
    Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and achieve business goals.
