The position is responsible for providing care within the clinical, surgical and hospital setting for St. Anthony's Hospital in Lakewood, CO on behalf of Panorama Orthopedics and Spine Center's Trauma Team. St.
Anthony's is a Level 1 trauma center that services the West side of the Denver Metro area just outside the foothills of Colorado.
The trauma team is made up of 5 primary Orthopedic trauma surgeons and 6 Advanced Practice Providers, this position would make 7 APPs.
Essential Functions
Primary duties would involve covering first call at the Level 1 trauma center evaluating all Orthopedic Trauma patients referred to Panorama through the Emergency Department and any inpatient providers.
Conducts independent inpatient consultations and H&Ps, evaluating and ordering imaging studies for new patients, assisting with developing and coordinating treatment plans and discharge summaries.
Performing fracture/dislocation reductions on all major extremities, skeletal traction pin placement, joint injections and aspirations and use of fluoroscopy.
Rotates in providing daily rounds, evaluating changes in patient conditions, issues orders for medications, treatments, and lab tests.
Provides surgical first assistant coverage in the operating room for multiple surgeons.
Ability to apply splints, braces, wound vacs, and casts.
Documents all patient care actions in the EMR timely and accurately.
Must work well in a team environment and must possess strong attention to detail in high stress environment.
Must be willing to adopt high level standards of care set forth by the Orthopedic Trauma team regardless of previous experiences and preferences.
The pay range for this position is $100k to $150k/annually, DOE.
