    Psychiatric RN (Adolescent Unit) – Holyoke, MA | Travel RN. Must hold a Massachusetts RN license and 1+ year psychiatric nursing experience.

    Qualifications / Job Requirements

    Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Massachusetts

    Minimum 1 year psychiatric nursing experience required (adolescent psychiatric or inpatient behavioral health experience preferred)

    Experience with adolescent psychiatric care, substance use inpatient care preferred

    Current CPR certification required

    Strong critical thinking, crisis management, and de-escalation skills

    Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) — experience with inpatient charting preferred

    Ability and willingness to float to similar or lower-acuity units and serve as charge nurse when needed

    Effective communication and teamwork skills for multidisciplinary behavioral health settings

    Responsibilities

    Provide direct and indirect nursing care to adolescent patients and their families/legal guardians in a psychiatric inpatient setting

    Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment consistent with behavioral health and trauma-informed care principles

    Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans

    Demonstrate effective crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, and recovery-oriented approaches

    Serve as charge nurse and float to other units as required to support unit staffing and patient care

    Participate in ongoing professional development, team-building, and quality improvement initiatives
