- Plans, coordinates, and directs H&H engineering analysis and design on multiple projects with many complex features
- Interacts with project clients
- Responsible for developing and mentoring less experienced staff
- Performs hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, prepares hydrologic and hydraulic models, evaluates results, and summarizes results and recommendations to produce drainage impact studies, conveyance analysis, storage analysis, and other drainage improvements
- Coordinates production and/or provides QA/QC to ensure technical consistency and inclusion of appropriate documentation
- Provides technical input/review of project deliverables
- Prepares scope, budgets and proposals
- Responsible for financial tracking and invoicing
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
- Registered PE in Texas
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design, or related surface water engineering
- Hydrologic/hydraulic modeling experience preferred includes both steady and unsteady modeling, 1D and 2D modeling
- Experience in HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HEC-1, HEC-2, InfoWorks, XPSWMM 1D & 2D, MIKE Flood, ArcGIS 9.3 or later, HEC-GeoRAS, HEC-GeoHMS, and ArcHydro is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prepare and delivery client presentations
