    Clarity on the Role:

    Wellvana is looking for a Senior Director of Analytics to lead a team that provides analytical expertise for the organization to develop recommendations and methodologies to help the organization and clients capture the most critical, actionable data to achieve their objectives, following company procedures to reach all established goals.

    What's Expected
    • Assist in leading complex analytic projects using diverse data sources.
    • Extract, aggregate, and QA data from multiple sources for root cause analysis.
    • Apply technical specifications to healthcare datasets effectively.
    • Act as a key contact to analytics for leadership and business unit stakeholders.
    • Manage multiple tasks, adapt to change, and meet project deadlines in a dynamic environment.
    • Provide direction, oversight, support and coaching to team of 3 to 5 analysts.
    • Work with team to optimize and align analytics processes with industry best practices and to support strategic direction of the organization.
    • Implement appropriate analytic and statistical methods.
    • Design, produce, quality review, and support financial, actuarial, risk adjustment, clinical, and operational analytics to populate dashboards and KPI reports.
    • Coordinate enterprise-wide capabilities to meet specific business needs.
    • Communicate results and integrate them into forecasting and reporting.
    • Make recommendations to continually improve the effectiveness of the organization
    • Identify patterns and emerging trends based on aggregate data to find risks or opportunities, and make performance change recommendations.
    • Develops recommendations for improving database design and data capture mechanisms.
    • Assure the quality and integrity of analytics product and output.
    • Works with other groups in the organization to share important information and increase company awareness of relevant data.
    • Work with external data providers and client organizations to identify relevant data for key decision making.
    Requirements

    Education:
    • Master's degree in Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Epidemiology or related field
    Years of Related Experience:
    • 8+ Years in healthcare analytics
    • 8+ Years of SQL
    • 6+ Years in population health analytics
    • 6+ Years working with Enterprise Data Warehouses in a healthcare environment
    • 4+ Years managing and providing work direction to a team
    Skills:
    • Provide technical and subject matter expertise in the design and execution of healthcare economic analysis, program evaluations, advanced statistical modeling, policy analysis and population health opportunity analysis
    • Proficiency in designing and executing healthcare data and root cause analyses using administrative claims, clinical and operational data
    • Analytics experience in population disease burden capture, care management, actuarial/healthcare economics, risk adjustment and quality improvement program evaluations
    • Analytics experience with Medicare Advantage, Medicare FFS, MSSP and ACO programs, and commercial populations
    • Proficiency in communicating analytic insights for stakeholder consumption in formats such as BI tools, MS PowerPoint or other relevant tools
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience in directly supporting business partners through analytics
    • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or Sigma
      • Familiarity with Snowflake or other cloud-based query applications
      • Actuarial/statistical based analysis
      • Experience with extraction, transformation, and loading disparate healthcare data sources
      • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while leading a team
      • Understand current issues in health care financing, delivery, policy, and regulations
