    Primary Responsibilities


    Our fun, creative and talented Dakotas/Wyoming traffic engineering and transportation planning group is looking for a Traffic EIT/Coordinator/Planner to join our team.

    The ideal candidate will work well in a team environment, enjoy tackling new challenges, have strong written and verbal communication skills, and have a passion to advance the transportation profession.

    They will be comfortable working collaboratively and independently.

    As a Traffic EIT/Planner, we'll count on you to:

    Collaborate with multimodal teams of planners, engineers, technical specialists, and communications specialists – at times under compressed timelines.
    Collect and evaluate project-related data, which may include GIS analysis, analysis of big data, Census data, and research.
    Provide transportation planning services for state and federal agencies, metropolitan planning organizations, transit agencies, cities and counties.
    Assess traffic operations and safety using modeling software.
    Evaluate multimodal needs.
    Identify geometric, traffic control or technological solutions to address existing transportation system deficiencies.
    Research and identify new and innovative solutions to plan for and adapt to the growth of technology in transportation.

    Work with our team to write data-backed and compelling multimodal statewide, regional, and small-area plans; electric vehicle planning studies; transportation grant applications; and multimodal corridor studies.

    Share project work and conclusions with project team members, clients and the public.
