    Description

    Controls Automation Engineer

    Duration: through 10/11/2024 (possible ext as needed)

    Location: Lithia Springs, GA

    The job will require up to a maximum of 30-40% travel.

    Duties:

    • Working with multiple cross-functional engineers to bring a solution from concept to reality.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate conveyor control solutions, automated material handling equipment, and autonomous vehicles.
    • Create and maintain electrical schematic drawings.
    • Develop and debug control system software in ladder logic, ST.
    • Ability to provide technical expertise in controls and electrical engineering.
    • Perform on-site commissioning support & necessary electrical field wiring when required.
    • The job will require up to a maximum of 30-40% travel.

    Skills:

    • Bachelors or Masters in Controls Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering or 3+ years of experience in control systems engineering, PLC programming
    • Familiarity with the following programming languages: Ladder Logic, Structured Text
    • PLC Programming on Rockwell Platforms Studio 5000/ RSLogix5000 is a must.
    • Experience in Programming Material Handling systems like conveyors, sorters, and MDRs is preferred.
    • Experience with Schematics Design in AutoCAD.
    • Ability to Assist during equipment commissioning with wiring, and installation occasionally.
    • Familiarity with commissioning VFDs, PLCs, Remote, and Barcode Scanners and establishing communications via Ethernet IP, Device Net, and Profibus communication protocols.
