REQUIREMENTS:
Possess a high school diploma or GED certificate.
Act in a mature and professional manner to provide a positive, responsible adult role model for children.
Be 18 years of age or older.
Physical abilities sufficient to frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, and safely restraining a child.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working with children of all ages.
Education in the field of teaching, child development or a related field.
Experience with special needs children.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the head teacher with the supervision of children.
Carry out activities with the children as directed by the Head Teacher and Child Care Director.
Other duties as assigned.
DAYS/HOURS:
Monday - Friday
2:45 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. - school year (hours available over the summer)
LENGTH OF PROGRAM:
According to the school year calendar and summer employment
SALARY:
According to the Haslett Aide/ Paraprofessional Master Agreement
