    Associate Structural Engineer

    needed for a direct opportunity with ExecuPOWER in King of Prussia, PA
    The Big Picture – Top Skills You Should Possess:
    Able to work independently with minimal supervisor oversight
    Able to manage multiple tasks and projects
    Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Civil 3D
    Experience in working in Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
    Familiarity with structural analysis software, such as STAAD Pro, FAD, SAFE, STRUDL, ANSYS, MATHCAD, SAG10, and LPile
    Familiarity with design codes and standards such as IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, N690, ACI 318, and ACI 349, EPRI, AEIC, ASTM, NESC, IBC, CSA, IEEE
    Detail orientated with good analytical and problem-solving skills

    What You'll Be Doing:
    Review substation structure design, rigid bus design, foundation design, oil spill containment design, retaining walls, masonry control shelters, and associated facilities
    Perform structural analysis and design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, equipment, and foundations
    Develop project estimates and schedules, evaluate design options and criteria, and develop list of materials necessary to support client project authorization process and bid documents
    Conduct field visits to verify routing conditions and design parameters, and factory visits to ensure compliance with material specification and product quality
    Work with vendors and clients to specify project components and review drawings for manufacturers and use pertinent information in the production of design drawings
    Perform design and constructability review of civil and structural design project components
    Utilize the appropriate PPE and maintain a safe working environment adhering to the highest level of safety standards meeting ExecuPOWER's and client's safety standards

    What You Need to Bring to the Table:
    Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Structural engineering from ABET accredited engineering program
    Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) Certificationis a plus
    0-2 years experience in civil engineering design in electric utility industry
