    Job Summary and Qualifications

    As an Armed Security Offer at our facility you will have an impact on the lives of our patients, customers, and caregivers as you help maintain a safe healing environment and provide excellent customer service. You will have an opportunity to build rapport with a diverse patient and staff population and help us better serve our community. In this role:

    · You will provide protection services for hospital staff members, patients, visitors, and property as a sworn law enforcement officer.

    · You will perform approved police actions complying with state laws and associated police department policies and procedures as necessary to deter/terminate crimes in progress.

    · You will enforce hospital rules and policies pertaining to security service and provide a visible deterrent to crime and violence on the hospital campus.

    · You will assist hospital security, staff, physicians, patients, and visitors with maintaining a safe and secure environment.

    · You will provide building and ground patrol and respond to all emergency codes/alarms.

    · You will assist with Helipad duties, morgue procedures, parking enforcement, and employee/patient escorts.

    · You will investigate thefts, disturbances, and suspicious activity within the hospital facility and grounds.

    · You will assist medical personnel with patient restraints as directed.

    · You will monitor and contain disruptions by visitors or patient families and call for outside law enforcement as necessary.

    Qualifications:

    · Must be currently employed as a full-time law enforcement officer and in good standing with the associated police department.

    · Requires 2 years of armed security/police experience or equivalent.
