    Description

    Company Overview: American Custom Private Security, Inc (ACPS) is a California for-profit corporation established in 2008, specializing in commercial and government contract security services. We employ Unarmed and Armed Security Officers, Mobile Patrol Officers, Site Supervisors, and Account Managers. As a full-service, State-licensed Security Provider (PPO# 16495), our headquarters is located in Stockton, CA.

    Mandatory Position Qualifications

    Each candidate must meet the following mandatory qualifications for this position:

    • Valid California Guard Card: Must possess a current and valid State of California Guard Card.
    • Training Compliance: Must be able to complete additional required training.
    • Driver's License: Must possess a current California Driver's License with no DMV points if using company or client vehicles.
    • Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.

    Basic Hiring Requirements for Unarmed Position

    Each candidate must meet the following employer hire requirements:

    • Minimum one (1) year of Unarmed Security Officer experience required.
    • Willingness to work flexible schedules.
    • High School Diploma or equivalent, including a GED Certificate.
    • Own reliable transportation is a must.
    • Prior military experience must be validated with a DD214 upon job offer.
    • Must demonstrate auditory responsibility and fluent communication skills in both conversational and written English; able to pass a job-related physical examination if needed.
    • Ability to complete all required training and certifications successfully.
    • Proficient in the use of mobile phones and/or two-way radios.
    • Proven skills in interacting positively with the public.

    Primary Job Responsibilities

    Specific Duties and Essential Job Functions:

    • Conduct security foot patrols.
    • Monitor conditions that may pose security or safety risks.
    • Utilize TrackTik Software for reporting via smartphone, tablets, or computers.
    • Respond to alarms and notify police or fire departments in emergencies.
    • Verbally address and warn violators of rule infractions.
    • Control access points and allow authorized individuals to enter the property.
    • Monitor and enforce property removal while deterring theft.
    • Investigate and prepare incident reports on accidents and suspicious activities.
    • Maintain a professional demeanor, assisting customers, employees, and visitors courteously.

    Job Skills Required:

    • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
    • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Active listening capabilities.
    • Ability to assess situations effectively.
    • Aptitude for identifying and mitigating escalating conditions quickly.

    Environment: The work environment includes indoor spaces, as well as outdoor parking and landscaping areas. Temperature can range from moderate to extreme, depending on the location, time of day, and season.

    Major Activity: The role primarily involves providing visual deterrence through walking, conducting stationary surveillance, and engaging with people while monitoring site activities and changing conditions.

    Physical Job Requirements: The position requires standing and walking for extended periods, with some minimal sitting, lifting up to 25 lbs periodically.
