    Job Description

    This position works out of our Minnetonka, MN location, supporting our EP division.
    Perform analyses to develop process technologies based on product design and performance requirements.
    Provides technical information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties and process (advantages/limitations) engineering planning.
    Selects techniques to solve problems and make sound design recommendations.
    Execution of Process Validations including Test Method Validation (TMV), Inspection Method Validation (IMV), Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), Performance Qualification (PQ), Product Performance Qualification (PPQ)
    Write and release IQ reports
    Troubleshoot process equipment
    Assist in developing processes based on product specifications and in consideration to process and test method capabilities.
    Understand work environment issues (i.e. OSHA regulations, etc.).
    Will be on new introducer line
    Running installations qualifications
    Test method operations
    Hands on in clean room - majority of day will be on the line
    Documentation at desk

    Qualifications

    B.S. in engineering required; Biomedical, mechanical, chemical is typically preferred (Masters accepted)
    3+ years' experience in process development or manufacturing process engineering

    Experience developing and validating medical device manufacturing equipment, fixtures, and technologies with an emphasis on design for manufacturability (DFM) preferred.

    Experience performing installation qualifications (IQ).
    Preferred a background in introducer/catheter processing
    Med device experience required
    Equipment trouble shooting experience
    IQ experience required

    Enrollment dates are each January 1st, April 1st, July 1st, and October 1st.


    Technical Certification Bonus:
    Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification.

    In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us.

    Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus.

    It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
