Principal Accountabilities
Operating and maintaining refrigeration system
Operating and maintaining rendering facility
Operating and maintaining boiler facility
Operating and maintaining wastewater system
Maintain service on fire sprinkler/alarm system, HVAC units, CO2 system, Plant water (hot water and soft water units), Plant air (compressed air for production floor), Facility NH3 detectors
Provide coverage for refrigeration and wastewater technicians
Equipment and facility rounds to ensure proper and safe operation of system
Participation in revision or creation of operating procedures
Participation in incident investigations
Participation in compliance audits
Participation in conducting training or developing training materials
Participation in pre-startup safety reviews or management of change procedures
Participation in internal and external inspections
Assist in field verifications of Process Safety information developed as part of the RSM/PSM/BSM program
Member of PSM/RSM/BSM committee
Acknowledge System irregularities, Analyze, and communicate associated hazards
Communicate program improvements
Train themselves to eliminate hazards and to be as knowledge as possible about the system
Cleanliness and housekeeping
Documenting daily work assigned on paper and in maintenance management system
Utilize parts in inventory to repair equipment and follow procedures for documenting usage
Identify problems and make suggestions to improve operational processes
Operate PIT (Powered Industrial Truck)
Facility HAZMAT membership
Required Qualifications
Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Must be 18 years or older
Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent
Must have basic math skills
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Must have knowledge of hand and power tools
Willingness to participate in HAZMAT membership
Have state issued operator driver's license
Must have NH3 experience
Preferred Qualifications
Previous ammonia refrigeration experience
Two year degree that relates to the maintenance field
Caro certification
Experience using a powered industrial truck (PIT)
Operator 1, Operator 2, Tech 1 refrigeration courses training completed
CIRO certification
Wastewater Class 1 certification
Boiler certification
