    JOB SUMMARY: This role involves outside sales responsibilities aimed at promoting the company's products and services while fostering relationships with new and current accounts. The primary goal is to assist Sysco customers in achieving success while meeting the company's sales and profit targets. This position may require working non-traditional hours, such as evenings, weekends, and holidays, to effectively address customers' needs.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop new business, retain existing accounts, and reduce lost business to drive profitable sales growth within the assigned territory
    • Identify and qualify prospects aligned with company account stratification objectives
    • Research customer requirements and offer a range of products and services to fulfill those needs
    • Stay informed about market trends and suggest products based on customer needs and business goals
    • Stay updated on market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' offerings to share valuable insights with customers
    • Address customer queries regarding products, pricing, availability, and usage
    • Deliver product information and relevant training to customer staff
    • Drive to customer accounts, conventions, meetings, etc., using a personal vehicle
    • Manage deliveries as per the transportation department's schedule; troubleshoot any issues during the order process
    • Engage in company events, promotions, customer visits, and activities
    • Participate in sales and district meetings
    • Take part in ongoing training sessions
    • Assist in the training of new hires as required
    • Analyze daily and weekly reports, such as special-order requests, customer bids, and sales data
    • Handle administrative tasks like preparing sales budgets and reports, maintaining sales records, processing credits, etc.
    • Perform any other assigned duties

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Required Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related field OR HSD/GED with 3 years of Restaurant Management, B2B, or outside sales experience, including completion of the Sysco Sales Internship

    Preferred Qualifications: Bi-Lingual skills, experience in Restaurant Management, Foodservice Outside Sales, or as a Chef

    Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; current automobile insurance meeting specific liability requirements

    Requirement:

    • Pass pre-employment testing (Drug Screen, Background Check)
    • Agree to Sysco Protective Covenants Agreement
    • Reside or be willing to relocate to the territory's geographical vicinity
