    Please note this position is located in Berlin, VT. It is a full-time, 40 hour/week position. Office hours are Monday - Friday. Primary shift of 8AM-5PM.


    External candidates who have not worked within the UVMHN in the past year are eligible for a one-time sign-on bonus of $2,000(prorated for part time).

    The bonus will be paid out as two installments, the first installment of $500.00 will be paid following the completion of a successful 90-day orientation; the second installment of $1,500 will be paid upon completion of one year of satisfactory service in the same department.


    JOB DESCRIPTION:


    The Patient Service Specialist is an integral part of the patient experience and a key contributor to delivering high quality customer service to our patients and visitors that is caring, consistent and reliable.

    The incumbent provides administrative support in the clinic setting to patients and families, members of the care team and administrative leaders to ensure the smooth operation of the medical office.


    EDUCATION:
    H.S. diploma or equivalent required; Coursework in administrative or medical sciences preferred.


    EXPERIENCE:
    Proven customer service experience required. Experience in a clinical and/or administrative setting preferred.
