Position Summary:
This is a new growth created opening and is a senior construction operations leader who will head up all aspects of the construction operations and team for a growing business unit that will have approximately $600M-$700M+ actively under construction and several others in the development pipeline are soon following.
$600M-$700M+ actively under construction with another $800M-$1B+ in the active development pipeline.
Position Profile:
This Construction leader will operate at the highest level
and
will be responsible for all aspects of construction operations and will be instrumental in managing and growing a construction division and team in support of an active and growing pipeline.
The right candidate will be an accomplished multifamily construction leader that has experience leading the construction activities for multiple projects and project managers.
This position is responsible for all aspects of the construction operation, business and team who will lead all planning, directing, resource allocation, staffing, program and project management from inception through execution; focusing on bottom line performance and quality.
We are looking for someone who is entrepreneurial, forward thinking, pro-active & driven as this is a key member of the executive construction team and will have a direct impact on the success of the business.
Role& Responsibilities:Responsible for managing all aspects of construction operations, team and projects for their business unit.
Responsible for developing, managing, leading and growing the multifamily construction division/business/team from a staffing, cultural tone, strategic, business planning and project perspective.
Executive leader who will bridge the gap between construction activities, executive leadership, business initiatives and finance for a vertically integrated owner, developer and builder (in-house GC).
Ensure implementation and execution of business plan regarding profits, construction quality, vendor, subcontractor & consulting relationships, customer satisfaction, continuity, and growth.
Establish and/or improve upon standard operating procedures, processes and quality standards for all construction and the corporate construction division.Setting goals and evaluating performance of all team members.
Recruit, train and motivate construction division team.
Responsible for the overall business planning, performance and quality of projects and teams ensuring that all projects meet quality standards, are delivered within budget and on schedule.
Executive global oversight of cost reduction programs through competitive bidding, contract negotiation, improved field control, and value engineering. Help maximize the perceived value/cost ratio.
Establish, maintain and enhance quality relationships and contracts with subcontractors, consultants, vendors and related parties involved in the construction of projects.
