    Your role will be to conduct F-35 Airworthiness (AW) assessments as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the following areas: Systems Engineering, Diagnostics, and Maintenance
    Airworthiness assessments are currently performed utilizing MIL-HDBK-516C, Airworthiness Certification Criteria
    Results of assessments may be delivered or presented to the Customer during Technical Reviews, including any non-compliance sections, and plan to move forward
    This is a highly visible role which requires strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
    The responsibilities will include the overall activities required to meet contractual requirements in accordance with the "Systems Engineering Master Plan" (SEMP)
    Providing insight to the architecture of design requirements to engineering teams to ensure products conform to our customers operational expectations
    Integration of technical/engineering requirements and data horizontally and vertically across all the engineering teams
    Leading, developing and supporting major aircraft technical reviews with our Customers
    Will work across multiple elements of engineering in the development of elements for the F-35 aircraft
    Technical areas will involve the air vehicle hardware systems, mission systems software, elements of production, and post delivery sustainment systems and services
    Will apply the Systems Engineering process/discipline as defined by INCOSE International Council on Systems Engineering, Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), and MIL-STD-499,

    Military Standard:
    System Engineering Management.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field of study
    • Knowledge of overall F35 air system, design, and processes.

    Desired Skills:

    • Strong task coordination and communication skills (both verbal and written)
    • Demonstrates leadership
    • Knowledge of airworthiness

    Security Clearance Statement:
    This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

    Remote Telework:
    The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility
    The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

    Work Schedules:
    Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees
    Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed

    These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
