SWCA Environmental Consultants are seeking an On Call Assistant/Staff Biologist candidates for upcoming environmental projects involving office and field duties.
Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental inspections wildlife vegetation baseline studies nesting bird surveys wetland assessments general habitat assessments.
- Collectionsfield data record identify fauna flora topographic maps aerial photographs GPS units ArcGIS Field Maps maps tools determine exact locations project areas habitat types associated landforms photograph detailed notes habitats species landforms operate SWCA vehicles safely including operation 4-wheel-drive vehicles rugged back-country roads follow industry-leading safety check-in reporting procedures communicate effectively SWCA project managers construction crews environment specialists complete field work reporting requirements understand project environmental requirements applicable laws regulations protecting biological resources desktop analyses web-based database queries prepare technical reports methods results recommendations regulatory background projects.
