About the OpportunityOptomi, in partnership with a leading technology-driven organization, is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to lead testing for consumer-facing products.
This role focuses on backend and API testing, automation, and AWS services, helping ensure high-quality product delivery.The ideal candidate enjoys building automated test pipelines, debugging cloud-based systems, and collaborating closely with developers and product owners to drive quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Hybrid schedule — 2 days onsite in Plano, TX
Responsibilities of the Right Candidate
Maintain and expand automated test infrastructure for backend systems and APIs.
Partner with developers to create, maintain, and execute automated integration and functional tests.
Translate user stories into test scenarios and provide feedback on testability.
Execute end-to-end system integration and user acceptance testing.
Debug and validate AWS services including Lambda, S3, SQS, CloudWatch, and EMR.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with DevOps.
Maintain technical documentation, including test plans and API documentation.
Contribute to project planning by estimating scope and timelines.
Experience of the Right Candidate
5+ years of software engineering or QA experience creating and executing automated tests.
Strong experience with Linux/Unix-based systems.
Hands-on backend and API testing experience.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Java, Ruby, JavaScript, PHP, Bash, or Powershell.
Experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Familiarity with Jira or similar systems for tracking and traceability.
Load testing, leading QA conversations, or multi-product experience is a plus.
