    Scope of the Position

    Identify, quarantine, and stop the processing of nonconforming product. This is to be done in accordance with the standards established by the Quality Control Department with the guidance and instructions from responsible supervisor personnel. Individual must be able to check parts, requiring 100% inspection, for visual defects or with the use of inspection checking aids such as with gages or other necessary equipment which will determine the acceptance of a part. Must be able to read digital indicators and fill out necessary paperwork.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform hourly checks on production parts. Inspections include but not limited to SPC data collection, weld teardowns, pierce nut retention, fixture and visual.
    • Complete and document all quality checks on appropriate inspection sheets.
    • File all completed quality records in designated storage areas.
    • Perform incoming and outgoing dock inspectors.
    • File completed sheets in designated storage areas.
    • Execute all job responsibilities in accordance with ISO/TS-16949 and Customer Specific requirements
    • Actively participate in the continuous improvement process and incorporate the zero defect standard in all work
    • Other job responsibilities, not specifically listed here, that may be determined necessary by the supervisor.

    • Support and adhere to the requirements of the Quality and Environmental Systems as needed.

    Qualifications

    • Attendance/late/leave early/call in points must be 0 or better.
    • Basic math and SPC skills.
    • Use of air chisels to perform weld destructs.
    • Use of basic hand measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, scale)
    • Use of CMS for barcode scanning, production reporting and labeling process.
    • High School diploma or G.E.D equivalent.
    • Other related duties as assigned by supervision
    • Must be able to lift, twist, bend, squat, climb, stand and walk continuously in close, confined surroundings, as well as tolerate fumes and noise.
    • Must be able to work mandatory OT as required 6-7 days per week.
