    Description

    Maxim Crane Works is seeking Human Resources Intern to join our team for a summer internship in Wilder, KY

    This internship offers hands-on experience supporting a dynamic Human Resources team. The selected Intern will gain exposure to core HR operations, employee data management, compliance standards, and cross-functional collaboration within the crane and heavy equipment industry.

    What Youll Do

    Support day-to-day HR operations and provide administrative assistance to the HR team.

    Maintain accurate employee records and ensure proper documentation in accordance with company policies.

    Support performance review procedures by tracking timelines, preparing materials, and maintaining evaluation records.

    Assist with labor and employee relations documentation while maintaining strict confidentiality.

    Participate in HR systems optimization efforts, including process review and documentation.

    Help develop, update, and organize standard operating procedures (SOPs) for HR processes.

    Support employee engagement and internal communication initiatives.

    Assist with compiling HR reports and summaries for internal use.

    Partner with HR team members on special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned

    What Were Looking For

    Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

    Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.

    Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

    Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.

    Language Skills:

    Must be able to read and comprehend complex instructions, short correspondence and memos and the ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

    Physical Demands:

    The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, use hands to finger; handle or feel; and kneel; crouch; and talk; or hear; push and/or pull; reach; bend and/or stoop. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

    The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of an outside sales job. Moderate physical effort required; including sitting, standing, walking, using a keyboard, and a phone are regular actions performed in this role. Occasional exposure to the elements may occur while visiting Maxim locations or customer job sites. Must be alert and aware while driving on company business.
