    Position Summary

    Under the direction of the Quality Manager, this position will function as a Quality Supervisor that oversees the daily quality assurance activities of the plant and is the key environmental contact. This position acts as the plant Quality representative in the absence of the Quality Manager. The position supports ISO, HARA, and BRCGS requirements, continuous improvement activities, quality incident investigations, data collection/review/analysis, and any other activities as assigned by the Quality Manager.

    Essential Functions/Key Deliverables
    • Assist with the HFI process to include documentation, production accounting, disposition, rework activities, AQL or sampling.
    • Perform daily quality records review as the third level of the continuous verification process as required.
    • Maintain and develop quality function documentation such as forms, instructions, and training guides, as well as, the records for BRCGS and ISO compliance in accordance with record retention policies & requirements.
    • Attain proficiency and qualification in all quality testing.
    • Shall be competent and shall have appropriate education, training, skills and experience. They shall be fully conversant in Food Safety Policy, GMP's, HARA Principle and Food Safety Standard and Application.
    • Support external certification initiatives, such as BRCGS, through the creation, implementation, and verification of procedures and HARA pre-requisite programs.
    • Support ISO initiatives through creation, implementation, and verification of procedures and training to meet certification.
    • Assist in developing responses and correction implementation to any audit findings.
    • Establish and maintain 5S and a high level of housekeeping standards.
    • Provide training and direction as required to Quality Technicians.
    • Direct Quality Technicians including scheduling, time and attendance, policy and procedure administration, and documentation in all areas of responsibility.
    • Perform any other duty reasonable corresponding with the role.
    Knowledge/Skills/Experience
    • Associates Degree or equivalent Technical School Degree/Certification or relevant experience
    • Demonstrate ability in administering and leading Quality activities
    • Experience in understanding and executing quality policies, systems, and procedures
    • Working knowledge of SPC
    • Experience with BRCGS auditing procedures is preferred
    • Experience with SAP is preferred
    • Strong written and verbal communication and training skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    • Excellent people skills, high energy and positive cultural fit and attitude
    • Ability to solve complex problems outside of normal processes
