    Description
    Job Title: Systems Engineering Manager at Cambria


    The Systems Engineering Manager oversees the performance and development of the team members in their section at Cambria. They are responsible for defining and managing skill competency models and gap closure plans to ensure optimal service availability for scaling manufacturing operations.


    Key Responsibilities:
    • Supervision of 3 systems engineers and 2 application engineers
    • Hands-on contribution to managerial tasks
    • Conduct daily standup meetings with the team
    • Coordinate work distribution and priorities within the team
    • Engage in quarterly project planning sessions
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to align business priorities
    • Establish and maintain scalable, highly available infrastructure
    • Participate in on-call rotations to ensure service availability
    • Analyze metrics for proactive monitoring and alert creation
    • Work with product teams to meet service level objectives
    • Contribute to root cause analysis post-incidents
    • Manage lifecycle of compute, storage, virtualization, and server OS
    Qualifications & Skills:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
    • Self-motivated individual with problem-solving skills
    • Over 5 years of experience in virtualization platforms maintenance
    • Proficient in Linux administration and troubleshooting
    • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code and Ansible
    • Familiarity with LVM/MPIO and CIS standards
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and ALM tools (Jira)
    Experience with tools such as:
    • VMware, Nutanix, AWS EKS, Dell PowerEdge, Ansible, and more
    Minimum Requirements:

    Education: Minimum 4-year technical degree or equivalent work experience.

    Experience: Over 10 years in Systems Administrator/Engineering roles

    Additional Requirements:

    Managerial Responsibilities: Yes, overseeing up to 5 individuals

    Travel Requirements: No

    Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in standing/sitting positions.
