    Description

    Position Summary

    Ensure Material availability to satisfy production requirements, while building stronger suppliers.

    Role & Responsibilities

  • Performs materials planning on the short, mid and long term.
  • SAP MRP planning for materials.
  • Follow up to exception messages (collective display list) in SAP.
  • Confirms materials for the fixed zone and the planning time fence.
  • Weekly follow up to PO's confirmation.
  • PO's creation to be shared with suppliers.
  • Shares rolling forecast with corresponding suppliers.
  • Material planning for new products or material changes.
  • Plans and owns the phase in/phase out of materials, to avoid materials waste.
  • Maintains materials master data.
  • Maintains master data for corresponding materials (MRP views 1 to 4).
  • Audit master data vs safety socks system.
  • Updates safety stock vs safety stock calculator system.
  • Updates safety stock calculator system with new products.
  • Phase in /phase out owner for materials.
  • Runs Monthly obsolete/slow mover inventory report (process owner).
  • Ensures new materials are available on time for production runs.
  • Ensures materials orders according to plan to minimize inventory remnants during material transitions for new products/materials.
  • Follow-up and executes action plans to eliminate obsolete/slow mover inventory.
  • Responsible to create awareness of excess inventory risks during material transitions.
  • Responsible for materials inventory.
  • Runs weekly BWL report (process owner).
  • Follows up his/her materials on the BWL report and execute actions accordingly to keep them within limits.
  • Works with MPS planners to create action plans for slow mover inventory.
  • Responsible to create awareness of excess inventory risks due to demand variability or suppliers MOQ's.
  • Follows-up on rejected materials returns to supplier.
  • Creates root cause analysis for materials off BWL and/or inventory glidepath. Key Competencies

    Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Proven experience in purchase planning or supply chain planning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Strong analytical skills (data driven).
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Identify business process opportunities and implement improvements.
  • Strong strategic and business sense.
  • Strong SAP and Excel skillset.
  • Flexible – looking to work in a less structured, less 'corporate', fast moving, dynamic and rapidly growing business.
