    Description
    The full performance level class works under general supervision & requires considerable knowledge of social work, departmental regulations, policies, procedures; state and federal regulations; crisis intervention, counseling and interviewing of clients activities related to the assigned social service program as a part of the delivery of the program to participants/clients. This class is utilized in multiple departments and is involved with service delivery to a range of client populations.
    Normal Working Hours: Part-time; 50 hours bi-weekly; according to facility needs.
    We have established core working hours, and we strive to accommodate individual scheduling needs by coordinating with other team members' availability. Core hours that need coverage are Monday as needed; Tuesday and Wednesday, 12:12pm - 8:12pm; Thursday 11:12am - 7:12pm, Friday 9:42am - 5:42pm; Sunday 10:42am - 6:42pm.

    Duties/Responsibilities
    Provide case management services to program participants; based on case record information, observation and interviews, assist program participants (face-to-face and on the phone) in identifying, prioritizing and addressing human and social service needs; locate and make referrals to appropriate community resources; make follow-up contacts, as needed, with program participants and/or community resources that have been accessed, addressing barriers when necessary; document activities in case record; in the absence of the center coordinator, review daily schedules of visits and exchanges to ensure adequate staff coverage and address gaps in coverage in accordance with center policies and procedures; assist coordinator with volunteer and intern recruitment, instructional and on-the-job training.
    Monitor supervised visits and exchanges involving parents (or other adults) and children referred by local courts and other community agencies; review relevant case information; escort child to and from visit/exchange area in accordance with established policies and procedures; observe and document adult-child interactions on prescribed reporting forms; ensure area is restored to pre-visit/pre-exchange condition.
    Perform activities to ensure safe and efficient daily operations of the visitation center; greet and check-in/check-out program participants (e.g. ensure participants sign-in and sign-out, ensure required identification using security equipment and if necessary, back-up procedures; physically check materials brought by participants for inappropriate/prohibited items); monitor program participants and record significant behaviors; collect and record information from participants as requested and/or reported; assist in maintaining and cleaning facility (e.g. vacuum, dust, empty trash); clean and organize equipment and toys; ensure participants follow center rules, policies and procedures and address violations in accordance with center policies; perform routine clerical support activities (e.g. filing, folding brochures); answer incoming calls, transfer calls as appropriate and answer routine and general questions from participants, residents, staff and other agencies.
    Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned, to ensure on-going unit and department operations; provide office and phone coverage in department's central office; respond to special requests for assistance related to center and department objectives and role; participate in events and activities as requested and/or approved, related to professional developments (e.g. participate in center and department meetings, supervision in-services, training) and center/department objectives.
    Minimum Qualifications
    Completion of core course work for Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or closely related field; 18 mos. experience in social services; valid Ohio Driver's License.
    -Or completion of core course work for a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a closely related field, along with successful completion of an internship at the Family and Children First Visitation Center. This position includes a 12-month probationary period. Education and experience may not be substituted for mandated licensure/certification.
    - Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above may be substituted for the education and/or experience required. Education and Experience may not be substituted for mandated licensure/certification.

    UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
    Predictable and regular attendance is required.
    Travel may be required.
    May work rotating shifts (e.g. evenings) with rotating days off, weekends and holidays.
    Stooping, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
    Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

    The County pays 80% of the health care premium and 39% of the dental premium. All full-time employees are eligible for $50,000 group life insurance paid 100% by the County.
    NOTE: Employees who are non-permanent, seasonal, intermittent, part-time scheduled for less than 60 hours per pay period, and external interim, are not benefit eligible.
