    Our client is seeking a Benefits Analyst in the Legal industry


    The Benefits Analyst is responsible for supporting the firm's health and wellness benefits programs, leave of absences and accommodations, workers' compensation programs and other non-insurance benefit programs.

    Provide excellent customer service to all levels of the organization and ensure quality benefit plans through investigating new benefit programs, improving existing programs, and supervising and monitoring benefits administration.


    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Benefit Administration & Benefits Program Design
    Provides analytical and technical support in the delivery of all benefit programs.

    Supports the administration of the firm's employee benefit plans (group health, dental, vision, disability, worker's compensation, life insurance, wellness, etc.).

    Provides support to management in benefits and total rewards decision-making processes.
    Serves as a secondary contact for plan vendors and third party administrators.

    Works within the Workday HRIS to:
    Ensure the accurate of all benefits enrollments in Workday and data accuracy in vendor carrier sites.
    Perform routine and regular benefits-related data audits and systems quality checks.

    Provide support for the annual open enrollment process, and any benefit enrollment changes including qualified life change events and on-boarding and off-boarding as it relates to benefits coverage.

    Provides first level support for benefits-related inquiries from attorneys and staff.
    Prepares monthly plan billing reconciliation and payment allocations of fees for all group plans.
    Maintains employee benefit files and firm-level documentation and record keeping
    With direction, supports the standardized processes related to leave of absences, workers' compensation, and accommodations.
    Contributes to projects related to firm health and wellness committee and supports coordination of various committee initiatives.
    Performs benefit plan audits monthly and follows up to complete plan changes as necessary.
    Assists with research and preparation of data reports and standard materials related to compensation programs.

    Prepares data files required for government agencies as part of benefits compliance to a high standard of accuracy and timeliness for AQMD, SFHCO, ACA, and DOL.

    Assists in educating employees regarding benefits at key points during employee lifecycle (at hire, life changing event, open enrollment, separation, etc.).

    Assists in the preparation of communication tools to promote available benefits and enhance understanding of the firm's benefits package.

    May assist in response to retirement plans inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts.

    Complete other duties as assigned.
    Assist the Compensation and Benefits Manager in investigating new benefit programs and improvements to existing programs.
    Participates in financial analysis comparing possible new benefit programs with existing programs.

    With direction, may work with appropriate parties to analyze the current benefits, evaluating the usage, services, coverage, effectiveness, cost, plan experience, and competitive trends in benefits programs.

    Stays current with industry trends. Assists in completing benefit surveys and reviews information obtained from the results.
    Assists in analyzing moderately complex benefit information. May research employee benefit plans and vendors to identify those that present the best value.
    Assists in the design, and implementation of new benefit programs and improvements of existing programs.
    Assist in preparation of negotiation with vendors or administrator for new programs or renewal.


    QUALIFICATIONS
    Five or more years functioning as a Benefit Program Analyst preferably for a professional services organization. Law firm experience a plus.

    Demonstrated understanding of ADA, COBRA, EEO, ERISA, FMLA/CFRA, HIPAA, ACA, Social Security, Workers Compensation, applicable federal and California state codes and disability programs, and other relevant regulations.

    Strong proficiency with MS Excel, Workday and MS PowerPoint. Some working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now.
    Excellent customer service skills and demonstrated ability to follow through on issues to drive towards resolutions.
