    Description
    Summary You will serve as a IT Specialist (INFOSEC) in the ACIO/Information Technology Division; Corporate Operations Department of NAVSURFWARCENDLD. You will serve as the Lead Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO). This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. NT-05 is equivalent to GS-13/14. This position is salary capped GS-13 Step 10 (currently $153,354). See "Additional Information" section. Duties * You will report and coordinate cybersecurity actions and tasking with the Command ISSM.

    * You will provide guidance to the NSWCDD cybersecurity community to ensure the continued authorization of all systems, ensuring that Authorization and Assessment and cybersecurity processes have minimal impact on operational and mission requirements.

    * You will be responsible for implementing policies and procedures to information systems to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data.

    * You will provide guidance and direction to a team of experts as they ensure network systems are and remain fully compliant throughout the system lifecycle.

    * You will identify security risks and determine, develop, promulgate solutions to integrate security solutions into design, development, configuration, integration and management of IT systems.

    * You will assist with internal and external Cybersecurity inspections and audits.

    * You will review and provide feedback for Plan of Action and Milestones (POA and M), Authorization Boundary Diagrams, Security Assessment Reports (SAR), and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) results.

    * You will demonstrate skill in cyber risk and strategic analysis, enterprise architecture, cyber incident response, cyber vulnerability detection and assessment and cyber related infrastructure inter-dependency analysis.

    * This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites.

    You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M for framework role 722, level Advanced within 12 months of appointment.

    Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing Information Technology (IT) work to oversee, coordinate, or evaluate IT security plans, policies, procedures, or measures to ensure they are properly applied to IT systems or networks.


    Examples of qualifying experience may include:

    analyzing, assessing, and documenting cyber security/information assurance capabilities and services; verifying compliance with cyber security/information assurance requirements; identifying vulnerabilities of information technology systems; ensuring networks are certified and accredited for information security.
