- Performs preventive maintenance and repair work on Heavy Duty Fleet equipment. (Semi trucks and trailers).
- Reviews driver vehicle inspection reports. DVIR
- Responsible for being familiar with and observing all company safety rules and regulations; recognizes that safety is top company priority; attends regularly scheduled safety meetings.
- Need to have good understanding of hydraulic systems.
- Sweeps, cleans, organizes shop using 5S principles.
- Maybe required to answer roadside calls for disabled vehicles.
- All other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 yrs exp on Heavy Duty Semi Trucks or Heavy Duty Semi Trailers.
- Brakes, wheel seals, S Cams, Slack Adjusters. Grease and Oil Changes.
- Minimum 1 year electrical trouble shooting
- Must have own tools
- Must pass MVR and Background Check
- CDL A or B
- 1 year welding/metal fabrication with.
- Excellent work attendance history.
- Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequently required to sit for extended periods.
- Occasionally required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
- Regularly required reach with hands and arms.
- Job functions will be carried out inside and outside of shop in ALL weather conditions. Requires tolerance for wet/rainy conditions, high heat and cold temperatures.
