    Primary Purpose:
    The Transportation Driver(CNA) is responsible for interacting with residents in a courteous and friendly manner. The driver will assist residents with on- and off-campus transportation.

    Additionally, this individual will have a variety of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) tasks as it relates to resident care on a daily basis.


    Qualifications/Skills Needed:

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Active Kentucky Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License.
    • Current, clean and valid driver's license.
    • Able to operate both a standard and manual transmission vehicle.
    • A strong work ethic.
    • Experience in a customer service environment, preferably in a senior living setting.
    • Astute observation skills and detail-oriented.
    • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Flexibility with the ability to adapt to new challenges.
    • Possess a deep sense of empathy and respect for residents.
    • Ability to think and work independently and with direction.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, guests and staff.
    • Minimum 21 years of age.
    • Background Check and drug screen.

    Duties include, but are not limited to:

    Primary Duties:

    • Schedules and provides timely transportation to residents, as scheduled, to and from appointments. At least 3 per day, some requiring the individual to stay with the resident at the appointment. Appointment times will vary.
    • Follows all driving rules and laws set forth by local, state and federal agencies and Masonic's campus.
    • Maintains awareness of residents' whereabouts at all times.
    • Provides direct care to residents within facility policies and procedures while transporting residents and reports resident needs and concerns to a licensed nurse.
    • Acts as a backup at the Concierge desk (Receptionist).
    • Takes residents' dining services requests, submits work orders, makes reservations for events and answers outside calls.
    • Helps coordinate the set-up and breakdown of events and activities.
    • Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
    • Monitors emergency response system and fire alarm panel during daytime hours.
    • Keeps resident information confidential.

    Examples of CNA care include:

    • Bathe and dress patients
    • Serve meals and help patients eat
    • Provide and empty bedpans
    • Lift patients into and out of beds, wheelchairs, exam tables, etc.
    • Change bed sheets and restock rooms with necessary supplies

    • Talking: Must frequently convey details or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly or quickly.

    • Average Hearing: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
    • Repetitive Motions: Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and /or fingers.
    • Average Visual Abilities: Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, drive.
    • Physical Strength: Ability to lift and move up to 35 lbs.
