    Position Purpose:The SK AeroSafety Group is a $80M turnover business employing over 400 employees across 3 continents. Safetech USA & Fire-tec are the US operations of the SK AeroSafety group and represent roughly $40m of that turnover and 150 staff. Reporting to the CEO USA you will help lead the Group during a period of significant change and growth. Based out of the Dallas workshop the position will have the following objectives:

    Responsible for meeting and exceeding operational KPI's for Central region facilities (DAL, HOU & IND):
    • Standardize processes and procedures in line with Group standards.
    • Enhance growth across the Group by increasing product repair capabilities at each facility.
    • Promote and develop synergies within the Central region and the wider US operations.
    • Embed the values, mission and vision across the region to build a strong, positive culture.
    • Develop a sustainable programme for recruitment and retention of the best people.

    Key responsibilities and accountabilities:Planning:
    • Provide leadership and vision to the region by assisting with the development and implementation of short, mid and long-term plans, including evaluation and reporting of progress towards these.
    • Evaluate site and region reports, financial and operational KPI's to identify areas for growth and cost savings to be made.
    • Analyze technical and financial data as needed to assist the region in determining and meeting its short- and long-term goals.
    People:
    • Model and promote the Group's Systemic Leadership Program.
    • Identify areas for staff development and training to optimize people performance.
    • Provide guidance on effective employee relations, engagement and communication.
    • Monitor and report on performance management and improvement systems.
    • Provide matrix and/or line management of operations where agreed with the CEO.
    Project management:
    • Oversee the introduction of new capability within workshops across the regional facilities.
    • Oversee the implementation of Quantum to new M&A targets in the region.
    • Assist in development of processes, tools and equipment to increase company efficiency, safety and productivity.
    • Lead on continuous improvement programmes to develop operational excellence.
    • Be willing to travel globally to meet Group's vision, mission and goals.
    • Organize/Oversee/support the start-up/closure of (new) facilities across the region, USA and Group.
    Financial management:
    • Provide recommendations regarding investments and cash strategies.
    • Create business cases for new capability extensions with ROI.
    • Advise on manpower planning and pricing in each facility.
    • Help create customer pricing index for repairs and to price large multi chapter contracts.
    • Assist in the implementation of a regional and USA salary structure including job groups/job descriptions/pay scales in line with the group structure.
    Production/QC:
    • Oversee the maintenance of accurate documentation control with repair documents, quality control data and financial records.
    • Ensure systems and processes are in place to ensure high safety standards are always adhered to.
    • Direct the repair and overhaul activities to ensure compliance with quality control standards, regulatory and OEM compliance, and any lease/customer agreements.
    Required qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in in a related field (Management, Business, Aviation etc..) or 5-10 years equivalent experience.
    • Experience managing a large workforce of at least 25 or more.
    • A minimum of five years of experience in a maintenance and repair services type industry (ideally in aviation sector) with multiple locations.
    • A minimum of five years of managerial experience in personnel management, including hiring, supervision and evaluation administration (including APR's, monthly 121's).
    • Proven skills in business and financial management.
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a proactively diverse and inclusive organization.
    • Excellent, proven, interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills in English.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and supervise a diverse staff.
    • Effective problem solving and mediation skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to share skills and knowledge with others.
    • Proven skills in motivating and empowering staff to perform at their best.
    • Proficiency with office computer equipment, software and large ERP systems.
    • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.
    • Proven ability to cope with conflict, stress and crisis situations.
