    Responsibilities:

    This position will be part of the Business Systems & Analytics team supporting the CFO Organization. The goal of the Business Systems team is to create and deliver meaningful, large-scale technology programs that increase the ROI of Verkada's business systems and technology and improve the overall value and performance of the organization. We make systems/processes more efficient, reduce manual, low-value work, and enable the company to run better, make better decisions, and ultimately be more profitable.

    In this role, you will:

    • Identify and collaborate effectively with key ICs and leaders across: FLOPS (Finance, Legal, Operations, People and Supply Chain) and more to solve key business challenges through implementing best practice solutions which can include process change, configuration, and/or customization.
    • Work closely with FLOPS stakeholders to build key metrics in BigQuery and Looker and own the maintenance/integrity of our data tables.
    • Ideate, build and test technical implementations along with the business systems engineering team to create or improve our processes to support business growth
    • Facilitate and lead cross-functional requirement sessions to elicit, document, and analyze business requirements to identify functional scope. Able to identify unspoken/ conflicting requirements and drive meaningful change even going against the grain (as needed).
    • Prepare and review documentation for current processes, pain points, and assumptions for business systems and continuously identify opportunities that will streamline workflows and processes across all of our business systems and tools.
    • Draw from your experience to recommend changes in development, maintenance, and system standards that improves the team and our users' experience while delivering long term scalability.
    • Build lightweight technical solutions leveraging your skills with Python/JavaScript
    • Assist in the ongoing administration Verkada's business systems as part of a team effort -- create/ modify user roles and permissions, item configuration, workflows, custom fields, custom records, dashboards, advanced templates, multibook entities, searches, reporting changes, related administration duties, etc.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Accounting, Finance, CS, or other technical/ analytical fields.
    • Minimum 2 years of relevant business experience
    • Basic SQL, Python, JavaScript and HTML preferred
    • Experience with designing and supporting integrations between business systems like Netsuite, Salesforce, 3PL's, expense systems, etc
    • Strong understanding of key financial business processes (Billing, Collections, Revenue Management, Procure-to-Pay, Quote-to-Cash, Record-to-Report).
    • Work ethic: You do what it takes to make a project go well. You are equally comfortable taking personal ownership for a task as delegating it.
    • Ideal candidate is able to handle ambiguity and work effectively in a fast paced and fluid environment.

    Pay Disclosure

    At Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate's skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. This estimate can vary based on the factors described above, so the actual starting annual base salary may be above or below this range. This estimate is also just one component of Verkada's total rewards package. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).


    Estimated Annual Pay Range

    $75,000—$140,000 USD
