- Ability to manipulate standard CAD commands.
- Ability to manipulate point data, received from the field.
- Creating construction documents and permitting documents for new fiber builds.
- Works with Permitting Department to meet requirements for approval across multiple entities.
- Works with Engineers to generate a set of plans that can be utilized for construction purposes.
- Works with Site Acquisition Coordinators to create plans showing a proposed path into the customer premise.
- Updating legacy documents to current standards.
- Enter data in computer system and maintain accurate records of activities related to Outside Plant and Inside Plant plans.
- Ability to be on time for scheduled work day and complete all work hours required.
- Minimum 2 years' experience or Drafting and Design degree.
- Ability to perform spatial analysis.
- Knowledge of automated or computerized system operation / basic computer skills.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple people to create a design for proposed fiber optic builds.
- Must have basic working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Experience working with point data gathered with GPS Field units.
- Relevant experience creating and maintaining plans.
- Tech-savvy with knowledge of related software programs (Salesforce, Workforce, Google Earth).
- Experience in data entry.
- Ability to stay on task.
- Active listener with excellent communication skills.
- Sound judgement and critical thinking.
- Knowledge of automated or computerized system operation / basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of record keeping practices.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Sitting, standing, and walking.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds several times a day.
- Overhead lifting of over 20 pounds.
- Bending, stooping, climbing ladders and crawling.
- Keyboarding/typing.
- Long hours involving overtime and weekends as necessary.
- Ability to read effectively from a computer screen, sampling device and/or a paper copy.
- Ability to work multiple tasks in a stressful environment while maintaining a positive and pleasant manner with others.
- Ability to handle a large volume of work and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
