    Trinity Rail Maintenance Services, Inc. is searching for a talented team player to fill the open position of Career Fitter/Welder in our Cartersville, GA plant.

    What You'll Do:

  • May lay out and mark weld points on parts or subassemblies.
  • May position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools.
  • May inspect completed work for conformance to specifications.
  • Observes all standard safety practices and maintains and completes all required records.
  • Follows all safety rules and practices.
  • May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • May perform GMAW, FCAW, or SMAW welding
  • May weld on stainless
  • Performs out-of-position welding and repairs
  • Accurately measures within specified tolerances
  • Reads blueprints and Weld Symbols
  • To layout, cut, fit and attach various pieces of metal together by all types of welding. May work in confined spaces.
  • Gathers materials; sets up welding equipment. Lays-out, measures, cuts or burns and fits into place.Replaces welding wire or rod as necessary.
  • Performs welding function.
  • Checks and inspects welds according to specifications.
  • Moves material to next station or to storage.
  • Reworks welds, including back-gouging.
  • Safely and efficiently performs all essential functions.
  • Predictable, regular attendance required.
  • MIG, TIG, submerged arc, stick electrode, auto-welder, hand grinder, measuring tools, burning equipment, cutting torch, hammers, wrenches, material handling equipment, back-gouging equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic tools.
  • Use of safety equipment may include respirators.
  • What You'll Need:

  • Proficient at fillet & grove welds
  • Proficient at Oxy Fuel Cutting
  • Proficient at Carbon Arcing
