    Overview:

    The Supervisor of First Aid manages and directs the daily operation of the First Aid department, including maintaining inventory supply, medical protocol compliance, and training of Associates,


    Responsibilities:
    • Provides basic clinical, life support and/or emergency care to guests and associates including wound care, administering over the counter medications and basic health evaluations; demonstrates proficiency in airway management techniques, supplemental oxygen support, spinal injury management, adult, child and infant CPR techniques, surface/sup surface and conscious/unconscious rescue protocols
    • Ensures all policies and procedures are being executed correctly including maintaining operational readiness of all equipment unique to First Aid; ensures all chemicals are correctly labeled and used and that proper PPE usage and safety standards are being met.
    • Supervises, schedules, trains, and develops First Aid personnel;ensures proper staffing with consideration to anticipated guest attendance and in compliance of current budgeting guidelines; makes daily adjustments in staffing levels as park attendance dictates.
    • Purchase and maintain inventory of needed first aid supply inventory and equipment.
    • Assists Area Manager in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified personnel
    • Oversee drug screening program to ensure consistency of quality control in screening techniques. Includes responsibility to liaison with Human Resources and outside drug testing company for prompt results tracking and reporting.
    • Coordinate with medical protocol physician to implement revisions of written instructions and to ensure all drug use licenses and laboratory certification is maintained and up to date.

    Qualifications:
    • High school diploma/GED required
    • Associates degree/vocational degree preferred
    • 3-5 years of supervisory experience preferred
    • 4-6 of related work experienced required
    • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
    • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy. Unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
    • Knowledgeable in the use of cleaning equipment such as carpet extractors and power washers.
      Have a basic understanding in the areas of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
