    Position Summary

    A data scientist position on the Samsung Ads Platform Intelligence (PI) team, working with unique data to address product challenges, uncover revenue/profit opportunities, and build end-to-end solutions with real-world impact.

    Job Description:

    A data scientist role on the Samsung Ads Platform Intelligence (PI) team, working with unique data to address existing product challenges, uncover new revenue/profit opportunities, and build end-to-end solutions with real-world impact. Work closely with different teams to develop insights and deliver production-grade solutions to drive business and technical initiatives effectively. Collaborate with talented engineers and top-notch machine learning researchers on exciting projects and state-of-the-art technologies. Provide data-driven insights and deliver production-grade solutions to maximize the value of our data. Analyze the business health of the entire Samsung organization and identify product bottlenecks to innovate and improve processes. Examine the Ads ecosystem to unveil new business opportunities, support strategic decision making, and suggest technical solutions. Propose and deliver data science projects into production from start to finish to drive business growth. Apply hands-on data science techniques, including advanced analytics, machine learning, statistics, etc. to solve complex problems promptly. Work closely with the machine learning team to define and improve machine learning products. Support various stakeholders by designing experiments and evaluation metrics for different products. Effectively communicate with and present to a variety of audiences, such as leadership teams, engineering stakeholders, and product owners. Foster a data-driven culture within the company by coaching different stakeholders.

    Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

    A Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Science and Engineering, Operations Research, Business Analytics, or a related field, plus 2 years of post-baccalaureate experience in a job-related field or an engineering/data scientist role.

    The applicant must have at least 2 years of experience in the following: (1) Data-driven analytics to provide business insights and propose data-science solutions; (2) Machine Learning models, including model development experiences using ML libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Spark ML; (3) Python or GO programming languages; (4) accessing and processing data with SQL, R, or Apache Hive; (5) statistical theories and methodologies, including assumption tests and causal inference; and (6) Big Data Processing tools like Spark or AWS.
