Travel Medical Technologist Shift:
Evening or night shifts - 36 hours (weekends rotating)

Duration: 13 weeks

Hourly Pay:
$61 OT: 1.5 Weekly pay: $2,196 JOB DESCRIPTION Under general supervision, performs routine and special laboratory assays of patient specimens (e.g., body fluids, exudates, skin scrapings or surgical specimens), exercising independent judgment when evaluating the validity of test results prior to result reporting. Provides data for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Operates and calibrates all equipment in the area of specialization, evaluates the validity of laboratory data, records tests results. Communicates with physicians, pathologists, and nursing staff regarding test procedures. Hematology experience.


EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

Bachelor of Science degree in a chemical, physical, clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution required.

Must meet the required qualifications for being an individual responsible for competency assessment and have the education and experience to evaluate the complexity of testing being assessed as defined by CAP (College of American Pathologist).

Certified Medical Technologist (ASCP) certification is strongly preferred. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
