Job summary
The senior instrument technician is responsible for the safety performance of job assignments and maintaining good housekeeping. They work from complicated drawings, specifications, and sketches to complete job assignments. The technician installs, operates tests calibrates maintains and repairs various types of measurement and control instruments electronic mechanical or pneumatic either manual or automatic.They have strong knowledge understanding of gas measurement control within plants metering stations industrial supply runs making adaptations of instruments for special jobs conducting all necessary tests instrument maintenance on such installations removing installing values regulations less than four inches painting installing simple supports electrical equipment directing lower graded classifications as required understanding hazards natural gas LNG experienced working natural gas LNG applications cryogenic applications reporting repairs tests inspections calibrations instruments qualifying plant vehicles trucks dump flat pick up forklift bobcat loader etc cleaning preparing surface steel wood etc applying primer finish coating cleaning equipment checking oil gas water levels reporting defective parts requiring repairs mill workshop tools band saw chop box table saw assisting opening closing hand valves servicing repairing DCS equipment calibrating troubleshooting instrument loops servicing recording instruments checking maintaining combustible indicators odorization systems water CO analyzers setting programming installing transmitters M R station valves regulations operating test equipment plant system checking maintaining Scott freedom oxygen detectors chart recorders Sensit Gold Gas Detector loading stations Hazardous Detection System components smart process instrumentation general safety responsibility everyone safe driving responsibility everyone future technological advancements computing monitoring date recording essential functions job description unless substantial increase workload maintain current TWIC Operator Qualification perform job duties remain compliance work inclement weather general conditions confined spaces ladders stairs extreme heights full face respirator clean shaven PGW Respirator Readiness policy PPE FR clothing composite toe boots hard hat safety glasses high reach forklift rigging signaling training knowledgeable Plant Emergency Alarm System extended hours shifts conditions required.
