    Description
    Project Scope Summary (a general narrative of the needs and scope of the project):
    • Weekly time sheets to identify work performed will be reviewed and approved.
    • This work has a strong requirement for fluency with COBOL programming, SQL language, and Bull JCL. Experience working with mainframe environments, relational databases, and working with the command line is highly recommended. Other skill sets that may be useful are .NET development.
    • Understand business requirements and translate them into code changes.
    • Maintain and enhance custom developed software including modify and test user data entry screens, batch processing, reports, queries and menus, etc.
    • Troubleshoot and correct compilation errors.
    • Test program changes by setting up JCL, updating test files, running tests, reviewing results and determining the correctness of the program changes based on the requirements provided.
    • Troubleshoot and debug program abends and other processing errors.
    • Follow shop procedures for checking out source code, migrating changes, etc.
    • Obtain user signoff on all changes prior to moving to production.
    • Provide production support for applications.
    • Perform tasks related to correcting data and production process recovery.
    • Research and report on application logic.
    • Utilize SQL to perform data analysis on relational database.

    Work is preferred to be remote, may be onsite.
