    Nexus-Woodbourne is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our specialized Diagnostic program in Baltimore, MD

    Position Summary:

    Provide overall management of youth's treatment through active engagement, clinical assessment, treatment, and discharge planning. Therapist will provide clinical insight and work from a trauma informed lens to enhance the milieu and programming. Engage with families through family therapy and treatment planning. Collaborate with the community and providers related to the youth's progress and discharge planning. The Mental Health Therapist will be working with Female Youth that are survivors of sexual exploitation and trafficking.

    The Diagnostic program is a DBT-Informed program, and the Mental Health Therapist will receive intensive training in DBT.

    ***New starting Salary of $75,000+ based on qualifications***

    Primary responsibilities:

    Trauma Informed Care
    • Creates and drives a trauma-informed environment; establishing and maintaining a positive treatment culture
    • Collaboration with youth & family to develop a Nexus Individual and Family Guidance Plan
    • Engage in and have active involvement of the Family Collaborative Intake meetings
    • Complete Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) functional assessment in accordance to the TCOM (collaborative) principals
    • Through the collaborative effort with family, youth, and providers, develop and monitor the individual treatment plans
    • Provide individualized, youth-focused, strength & evidenced-based family and individual therapy models to youth and families. Examples: Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
    Milieu Coordination
    • Develop and facilitate milieu and treatment groups that are trauma informed, educational, and treatment focused
    • Serve as a clinical treatment team leader to our Youth Care Professionals
    • Be available for consultation/treatment direction and/or decisions when appropriate
    • Assess readiness and plans for discharge in conjunction with the treatment team
    Community Care
    • Coordinate/communicate aftercare needs of the client with family and all necessary social service and community providers
    • Communicate with the treatment team to include all desired and necessary family members, educational, legal, community, and social service providers
    • Create and maintain accurate and timely client reports, records, and all documentation
    • Educate and facilitate trainings for staff on trauma informed practices, clinical diagnosis treatment processes, and other clinically relevant training material
    • Participate in team meetings, program clinical team meetings, therapy clinical supervision sessions, and in-service as required
    Qualifications:
    • Master's degree in social work, psychology, or clinically related field.
    • Must be licensed in related clinical field
    • Maryland: LCSW, LCSW-C, LPC, LCPC, or LMSW (on track for LCSW) or equivalent state designation for a master's level clinically related field
    • Experience working withmale, female, transgender, and non-conforming youth who have been or are at risk of commercial sexual exploitation
    • Valid driver's license required. Must meet state regulating agency and Nexus Home Office driving requirements
    Preferred Education and Experience:
    • Experience working in the Human Services field
