Duties
- Provide expert hair styling services including cuts, color treatments, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and nail care to meet each client's unique needs.
- Perform specialized techniques such as balayage, color theory applications, straight razor shaves, and hair threading with precision and artistry.
- Manage salon software systems like MINDBODY for scheduling appointments, client records, and retail sales transactions efficiently.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by adhering to sanitation protocols for tools, stations, and work areas to ensure client safety.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging clients with clear communication skills, offering product recommendations, upselling retail items, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
- Oversee front desk responsibilities including appointment booking, client check-in/out, and answering inquiries professionally.
- Mentor junior stylists or apprentices by sharing techniques in hair styling, makeup application, retail math strategies, and store management practices to foster team growth.
Experience
- Proven experience in hair styling with expertise in hair extensions, coloring techniques based on color theory, and barbering skills such as straight razor shaves.
- Familiarity with salon software platforms like MINDBODY or similar systems for scheduling and retail management.
- Strong knowledge of sanitation standards specific to cosmetology and barbering practices.
- Experience in retail sales with the ability to upsell products like hair care items or makeup while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Skilled in various beauty treatments including eyelash extensions and nail care; comfortable performing hair threading and makeup application.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging clients effectively and mentoring team members in technical skills or store management procedures.
- Ability to handle front desk duties efficiently while managing multiple client appointments seamlessly.
