- Tracks safety and compliance training for completion and proper documentation.
- Ensures consistency in the identification of accidents as preventable or nonpreventable.
- Proactively leads injury prevention, creates and assist in training. Works with facility
- Oversees the formation and development of safety committees in the terminals, provides training
- Assists in the implementation and maintenance of actions and strategies within a region to
- Provides technical expertise on regulatory issues and training/evaluating employees on safety
- Conducts facility audits and ensures that necessary corrections, repairs, and return inspections
- Provides assistance and direction regarding the proper management and handling of accidents and hazardous material incidents in the region.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Bachelor's degree in transportation, risk management, etc.
- 35 years of safety experience
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) preferred
- Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, RCRA regulations
- CDL license helpful
- Experience with software programs such as Microsoft Office
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and follow up on actions needed
- Approximately 70% travel is required
